From the UChicago Core to the C-Suite: Navigating Global Markets and Strategic Leadership

Featured Guest

Event Details

Few leaders wear two hats as big as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. Susan does both at Amica Mutual, and she's joining us to talk about what that actually looks like in practice — managing risk in today's macro environment, making long-term bets inside a mutual insurer, and building a four-decade career that's bridged quant research, credit, and corporate leadership. Expect honest reflections on markets, mentorship, and what it takes to rise to the top as a woman in finance.

About Susan Chung

Susan is EVP, CIO, and CSO at Amica Mutual Insurance. Before Amica, she spent nearly twenty years at Allstate in senior investment and strategy roles, with earlier stops at Morningstar and Ennis Knupp. She's a board member of Ascend, the largest Pan-Asian professional non-profit in North America, and a vocal advocate for women in finance. A "Double Maroon," she holds an AB from the College and an MBA from Booth.
