Careers in Asset Management: Strategy, Leadership, and Breaking Into Finance

Featured Guest

Event Details

Asset management is one of the most competitive, and most misunderstood, corners of finance. What does it actually take to break in? What separates a strong intern from a forgettable one? And once you're in, how do careers actually evolve across investment management, product, and strategy? This session pulls back the curtain on all of it. Expect honest takes on recruiting, real talk on what senior leaders look for in early talent, and a window into the kinds of decisions that get made at the top of a global firm. Whether you're recruiting now, exploring the industry, or just trying to figure out where finance might fit into your future, you'll walk away with insights you can't get from a job description.

About Anton Kuzmanov

Anton leads Insurance, Credit Solutions, and Strategic Partnerships globally at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and sits on the firm's Operating Committee. His fingerprints are on some of MSIM's most consequential moves of the past several years — scaling its global alternatives platform, launching its ETF business, and integrating Eaton Vance. Before Morgan Stanley, he built his career across Goldman Sachs, TIAA/Nuveen, and Financial Engines, working at the crossroads of asset management, wealth management, and fintech. He's seen the industry from nearly every angle, and rarely shares that perspective in a setting this intimate.
