Building a Multi-Billion Dollar Portfolio: How UChicago Manages Its Endowment

Featured Guest

Event Details

Endowment investing is one of the most fascinating corners of finance, and one of the least understood. Unlike most investors, an endowment has no end date. Every decision has to balance generating returns for today's students with preserving capital for generations who haven't been born yet. This conversation goes inside that process at the University of Chicago, where Alex helps shape the strategic asset allocation behind a multi-billion dollar portfolio. Expect a candid discussion on real assets, diversifying strategies, liquidity, and risk in a shifting 2026 macro environment, plus practical advice for students trying to break into serious investment roles.
